 ACCESSING THE DATA

 The files essential for accessing the data are provided in 
 ASCII format. 

 The data are in the directory DATA. The files in that directory
 contain data organised according to specific topics, and the
 related sections in the questionnaire: 
 
 PERSON       : Data from Flap and Section 1 
 WORKER       : Data from Sections 2
 HOUSE        : Data from Section 4
 STRATUM_PSU  : Stratum and PSU numbers     

  
 The Meta data, which describes the data, is presented in
 Rich Text Format (RTF), and can be found in the directory META
 DATA. 

 Copy of the Questionnaire in Rich Text format (RTF) can be
 found in the directory QUESTIONNAIRE.

 The code lists are in the directory CODE LISTS and are in Rich
 Text Format (RTF) and in a Microsoft Excel 2000 format. 

 The Statistical release in PDF format is in the directory Statistical release.
